"St Pauls Carnival has taken to the streets of Bristol since 1968, bringing a celebration of African Caribbean culture and bringing people together from all over the city. The annual cultural event is renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and showcasing a range of activities with street food stalls, parades and live performances. It’s an important event that brings people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds together to celebrate the diversity and richness of Bristol’s community."

The 2023 celebration is returning under the theme 'Learning From Legends' starting with an events programme from June 22 to mark the 75th anniversary of HMT Empire Windrush arriving in Britain. This will lead up to a full Carnival procession on July 1, which will see more than 100,000 people celebrate in the heart of St Pauls.
