St Mirren have won the race to sign Tony Watt on loan after Motherwell were among clubs mulling over a move for the striker.
The 29-year-old, who hails from Coatbridge, has "struck a deal" with the Buddies, according to the Scottish Sun.
While he won't be returning to Fir Park, Watt will be reunited with two men he worked with during his stint with the Steelmen.
Boss Stephen Robinson and Saints chief executive Keith Lasley are both Fir Park favourites and are understood to have been a big factor in Watt choosing Paisley as his next destination.
It is understood Watt is on his way to sign a deal that will see him join on loan from Dundee United until the end of the season and he "will be paraded" this afternoon.
This morning Motherwell boss Steven Hammell refused to rule out any interest in Watt returning to Fir Park but Watt is in line for a return to Fir Park on February 15 when Saints are due to visit on Premiership business,
