St Mirren fans sell out home stands with SMiSA Stadium set to be packed for top-six decider against Kilmarnock

St Mirren fans will pack out the SMiSA Stadium as the club chase an historic top-six finish this weekend.

The Buddies are looking to seal their highest top flight finish since 1985, which would also represent the first time the Paisley club have finished in the top half of the Premiership since the split was introduced.

Currently sitting fifth in the table, Stephen Robinson's men know a win or a draw against Kilmarnock this Saturday will guarantee them a top-six finish.

A defeat for Hibs, or a draw or loss for Livingston - who take on St Johnstone and Dundee United respectively - would also be enough to see the Saints finally bag that elusive top half spot.

And now the St Mirren supporters have rallied to the cause, selling out the entire home allocation as they look to roar their side on to the top six.

With Kilmarnock set to bring a big crowd as they look to beat the drop this season, the game is set to have one of the highest attendances in Paisley in recent years.

Saints boss Stephen Robinson said: "For me and the group of staff and players, it would be a huge achievement to make the top six.

“We aim to do that against Kilmarnock and we have a lot of positivity. We go into the game trying to win it – we won’t just try and get a point.

“We are confident we can go and get three points and that’s how we approach every game.”

A St Mirren spokesperson added: "Home end tickets for Saturday's cinch Premiership match are now sold out! Thank you for your brilliant support."
