St Mirren boss Robinson insists Motherwell return links are a 'load of nonsense'

St Mirren boss Robinson insists Motherwell return links are a 'load of nonsense'

ST MIRREN boss Stephen Robinson has insisted reports linking him with a sensational return to Motherwell are a “load of nonsense”.

The Buddies manager was linked with the vacant Fir Park post after Graham Alexander left the club by mutual consent following the Europa Conference League exit to Sligo Rovers.

A Daily Record report had claimed Robinson was in contention for a return to Motherwell – but the St Mirren manager has slammed the wide of the mark claims.

Speaking to BBC Sportsound, Robinson insisted there is “no truth” in the reports as he stated he is “totally committed” to his role in Paisley.

Robinson commented: "There is no truth in it whatsoever.

"There has been absolutely zero contact and it is a load of nonsense.

"It's amazing how people can put something in writing and it grows arms and legs and people believe it.

"I am at St Mirren and I am still committed to it. We are trying to get this club in to the top six for the first time in over 25 years - that is the reality.

"I can categorically tell you I am at St Mirren and I am totally committed to St Mirren."
