St Mirren have announced former Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson as their new boss.
The Northern Irishman signs a deal until 2024 at the Scottish Premiership club after they paid English League One side Morecambe compensation for their boss.
Robinson left Motherwell in December 2020 after a successful spell at Fir Park, taking over at Morecambe last summer.
In his time in ML1, Robinson guided the Steelmen to two cup finals, European football and made millions in player sales. Saints were looking for a new boss after Jim Goodwin left for Aberdeen.
Ex-'Well boss Robinson said of his appointment at St Mirren: "It's an absolute honour that St Mirren have come in and were willing to pay the compensation.
"It came out of the blue and when I spoke to the guys at the club it really impressed me what they are trying to do. We spoke in-depth about where we can take the club and there's real exciting times ahead.
"With the foundations that have already been built by Jim [Goodwin] it's up to me to take them on and build on what's already been done."
