Newcastle's return home come three o'clock on Saturday afternoon is set up for a huge party. Let them cash in on it. Think about it. Think about the mood.
Above all else it is the first anniversary of a takeover that has released NUFC from a life of purgatory. That alone is a reason for celebration. Next Wor Flags are planning something extra special and they have already turned St James Park into the most vibrant ground on match days anywhere in the country.
Then there is the four-goal thumping of Fulham away from home which has really lifted the spirit of fans. And finally Brentford, while a decent side who require respect, are the sort of opposition which can be beaten if you go about the job in the correct way. They are not Manchester City.

See what I mean? Everything is set up - but United must take advantage. They will only win by employing the right mind set for the full hour and a half.
The manner of victory at Craven Cottage has changed so much of course. Maybe Fulham were down to 10 men but United were ruthless and often they have not been that. What brought about the change? Callum Wilson. Without question.
Newcastle had a focal point. A centre-forward who plays like a centre-forward and it is his presence against Brentford which gives me so much hope of a home win. Players know what they have got when Wilson is No.9. Wide players and midfielders know they have support and an outlet.
Take Miggy Almiron. I have been critical of him because far too often when he gets the ball he turns and heads for the corner flag. Here he turned and drove on into the penalty area. The result: he scored twice and that is almost unheard of for him.
Almiron was terrific and I believe having Wilson at his side was the biggest factor in his change. Now I want to see him and United do it again. An away victory is priceless but it counts for nought unless a team comes home and wins again.
Brentford will have a game plan to stifle the party atmosphere, to cast doubt in the minds of players and supporters alike, but if United start off at a good tempo with the determination and ruthlessness shown last time out then they can get the job done.
We have had a wonderful year under new ownership and long may it continue. I thought the statement made by chairman Yasir Al-Rumayyan in his letter to Newcastle fans struck the perfect note. It was full of appreciation and hope which the Toon Army will readily identify with and support.
If Newcastle can beat Brentford after their result at Fulham they can go on to Manchester United in fine heart ready to ruffle a few red feathers. It is set up for the brave led by their chief Callum Wilson. I'm looking forward to it.
