St Helens Christmas bin collection dates as common items banned from recycling

St Helens Borough Council has released the dates that your bins will be collected over the Christmas period.

There will be no collections on Monday, December 26- with the schedule then working a day late for the remainder of the week, with Monday's collections being made on Tuesday, and so on. The same schedule is in place for the week following New Year.

The council are also keen to reiterate how to properly dispose some of the most frequently wasted items over the festive weeks. In St Helens, you cannot put wrapping paper or cards in your blue bag normally used for recycling, you will need to take these to your local recycling centre.
