St Cadoc's confirm former East Kilbride boss as new manager

West of Scotland League side St Cadoc's have announed Martin Fellowes as their new manager.

The 25-year-old, who is one of the youngest managers in Scottish football, was in interim charge of Lowland League East Kilbride and guided his hometown team to the Lowland League Cup on Sunday, as he bowed out on a high after almost 10 years involved at K-Park in various roles.

Fellowes had taken the reins at EK after Kevin Rutkiewicz departed in March and held the fort while the club brought in former Darvel boss Mick Kennedy and Si Ferry, who officially started their jobs with Kilby on Monday.

Lanarkshire Live Sport revealed earlier this month that Fellowes was heading to St Cadoc's after the conclusion of the Lowland League Cup and the Newton Mearns-based side have now confirmed the appointment this morning.

St Cadoc's have already earned promotion to the West of Scotland Premier Division next season and go into the final day of the campaign this Saturday with an outside chance of pipping leaders Gartcairn to the title. The Airdrie side have a three point advantage and are six goals better off.

Announcing Fellowes' appointment, a St Cadoc's statement read: St Cadoc's are this morning delighted to announce the appointment of new manager Martin Fellowes.

"Martin will be assisted by Mark McKenna.

"The rest of Martin's backroom team will be announced in due course. The new management team will take charge after the conclusion of the league campaign on 27th May."
