Sri Lanka is joining the line-up of countries vaccinated Brits can visit without Covid tests.
Travellers who are fully vaccinated against Covid will no longer be required to take a pre-travel PCR or antigen test if they want to visit Sri Lanka and see some of the country's most amazing places.
Those with proof of recent recovery from Covid will also be exempt from testing requirements.
Unvaccinated children aged 11 years and under are allowed to travel with fully vaccinated parents. If a child under the age of 18 has received one dose of a vaccine at least 14 days before travel, they will be considered 'fully vaccinated'.

Travellers who are unvaccinated will still be able to visit Sri Lanka, but they will be required to have either a negative PCR test result taken within 72 hours of travel, or a negative antigen test taken within 48 hours of arrival. Once in Sri Lanka, you'll need to stay in a Tourism Bio Bubble for at least seven days and take a Covid test - a negative result means you'll be able to use your hotel facilities and visit approved tourist sites.
Regardless of vaccination status, all travellers must also fill out an online form before travel, and meet requirements for mandatory Covid-19 travel insurance.
In recent weeks, a number of holiday hotspots have begun to relax travel restrictions.
Dubai, Greece, Portugal and France have axed pre-travel PCR tests for vaccinated Brits, Canada has eased testing rules to allow travellers to opt for antigen tests instead, and Tunisia scrapped quarantine rules.
Iceland took things one step further when it scrapped all its Covid entry rules, making it one of three countries without any Covid travel rules for Brits.
Meanwhile, Vietnam is set to welcome back holidaymakers three months earlier than planned, while New Zealand will operate a phased reopening of its borders with the majority of Brits likely able to return under the fourth step, due to take place 'no later than July'.
The UK's own travel rules have changed too, with key changes meaning that fully vaccinated Brits don't need to take any Covid tests, while self-isolation has ended for unvaccinated arrivals. (The latter will still need to take a pre-departure and a post-arrival Covid test which can be either a PCR or antigen test).
Travel rules can change quickly during the pandemic. Always check the Foreign Office's latest travel advice for a destination before booking or going on a trip.
