Tottenham player ratings as second-half collapse sees West Ham triumph in WSL London derby

Tottenham fell to their fifth league defeat of the season in a 2-0 loss to West Ham at Brisbane Road on Sunday afternoon.

A bright and lively start from Spurs in which the hosts carved out goals galore fell victim to a familiar narrative that has haunted Rehanne Skinner's side this season as chances were spurned left and right.

The dominant display was nearly undermined when Spurs were let off just before the interval after Kerys Harrop gave away a penalty that Dagny Brynjarsdóttir failed to convert.

And Spurs were left to rue to their missed opportunities as the Irons came out strongly in the second half with a change in formation, with Brynjarsd0ttir converting just three minutes after the interval before Hawa Cissoko sealed the victory on the 85th minute.

Despite a slew of substitutions in the second half, with Jessica Naz, Angharad James, Nicola Karczewska and Ashleigh Neville all introduced, Spurs continued to be thwarted by West Ham's dogged defence.

Rebecca Spencer

Retained her spot between the sticks after registering a save of the season contender against Reading. Had little to do in the first-half but was under far more pressure in the second and looked uncomfortable. Was beaten easily for West Ham's opening goal and could've done better for the second after failing to commit. 4

Amy Turner

Pushed forward aggressively in the first-half and continued to do so in the second but couldn't impact proceedings in the second as West Ham dominated. 4

Molly Bartrip

Made important clearances and was impenetrable defensively in the first-half as she frustrated Claudia Walker. Continued to be good defensively but second-half was caught out on the transition as West Ham looked bright on the break. 5

Shelina Zadorsky

Crucial defensive headers and clearances when Spurs found themselves under pressure from West Ham attacks. Composed on the ball. 5

Celin Bizet

Returned to starting line-up after being relegated to the bench after Chelsea. Aggressive in attack and provided a constant outlet for Spurs to attack on the right flank. Created plenty of chances for Spurs but no one to capitalise. 5

Eveliina Summanen

Top performer in the first-half as she dictated the tempo from midfield and ran the attack accordingly. Instrumental in driving Spurs' initial press and found herself in a position to shoot but her effort whistled over the bar. Second-half was less influential as West Ham gained momentum. 5

So Hyun Cho

Last featured for Spurs in the 8-0 drubbing of Brighton where she provided two assists. Grew into the match and pushed forward to control midfield tempo and often at heart of the attack but found herself overwhelmed in the second half. Substituted with 10 minutes to go. 5

Chioma Ubogagu

First league start of the season and very bright on the left side but like most of Spurs, lacked the clinical edge to her game. First half, was difficult to handle. Missed a great chance to break the deadlock from Bizet in the first-half. 5

Drew Spence

Not one of her better performances but her hard work off the ball was instrumental in Spurs dominating first-half but she failed to find the back of the net in what ended up being a costly and wasteful opening 45 minutes. 4

Kerys Harrop

Gave away the penalty in the first-half. At times, a bright outlet in the first-half but not a particularly strong performance and was subbed in the second-half. 4

Rosella Ayane

Given a second start to the season despite not impressing against Reading. Far more intrepid and composed display on Sunday and was lively from the of as she led the line. Provided plenty of threat for West Ham to deal with but was let down by the finishing touch. Subbed in the second-half after West Ham took the lead. 5

Ashleigh Neville

Brought on second half and offered a positive outlet for Spurs on the left but couldn't help them find an equaliser. 5

Nicola Karczewska

Came on second half to provide a bit of bite in the attack but couldn't offer anything to break through West Ham's defence. 5

Angharad James

Came on with 20 minutes remaining. Tried to lift the tempo and got herself into decent positions. 4

Jessica Naz

Subbed in with less than 15 minutes remaining. Was a handful for Kirsty Smith on the right wing with her pace. 5
