Spurs ace Dejan Kulusevski may face Eden Hazard regret amid Arsenal and Chelsea transfer links

Tottenham Hotspur winger Dejan Kulusevski has enjoyed an excellent start to life in north London since his switch from Italy and could be set to continue his excellent form by coming up against one of his idols next season. The Swedish wideman completed a loan switch from Italian giants Juventus during the winter transfer window and has since become a key part of the Spurs side.

In 13 appearances under Antonio Conte, the 21-year-old has scored three goals and notched six assists in the Premier League alone. It goes without saying then that has left the majority at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium hugely impressed, with some even appealing for a permanent move.

Spurs certainly have the facilities to do that, with a clause included in the deal that his services would be available for £25m in the upcoming window, whilst any fee would increase to over £30m should the north Londoners agree to a permanent switch at the expiry of his 18-month temporary deal.

Should Kulusevski sign a permanent deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this summer, then he could potentially be set to come head-to-head with one of his icons. According to Mail Online, the Swede sees former Chelsea wideman Eden Hazard as one of his favourite players.

He even confirmed those thoughts back in 2019 with an outlandish claim. Speaking to La Repubblica, he said: "The best player in the world for me is Eden Hazard, he can do anything he wants with the ball. I prefer him to Ronaldo and Messi.”

As per the reports, his admiration of English football began by watching the Belgian and he has been attempting to emulate him ever since. Intriguingly, the two could potentially be rivals on the pitch next term - their paths having never crossed in their respective careers thus far.

Reports have long linked Hazard with a move back to the Premier League practically ever since he sealed his big-money switch to the Santiago Bernabeu in 2019. Chelsea have consistently been mentioned, whilst Arsenal have since emerged as shock admirers.

It of course remains to be seen if either of the Premier League duo can tempt Hazard back to English shores in the immediate future but one man who will be certainly hoping to see a deal concluded will be Kulusevski.

However, should he go to one of Spurs’ Premier League rivals, it might be suspected that he would like to be wrong regarding Hazard’s talents in comparison to Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo and of course Paris Saint-Germain star Lionel Messi.
