Springfield Partnerships has submitted a planning application for 131 new homes along Main Street in Dundee.
Having been vacant for a number of years, the developers are looking to turn this brownfield site into a complex with one, two, three and four-bedroom apartments and houses.
With energy efficiency in mind, the homes will be built with insulation and heating technology that doesn’t require gas.
They have also been designed around a communal green area in the centre of the development, with some homes also featuring private balconies and wheelchair access.
Given the urban location, there are retail spaces incorporated along the street level to create business opportunities.
Springfield Partnerships' managing director Tom Leggeat said: “We’re pleased to have submitted proposals to inject a new lease of life into a neglected pocket of land in Dundee.
“Our plans for 131 energy efficient homes will bring housing and business opportunities to the area while generating work for local trades and suppliers.
“We welcome the council’s comments in the coming months.”
