There's no question that the creations sent down haute couture runways are the pinnacle of design and craftsmanship. After all, many of them end up being worn by celebrities hoping to dazzle on red carpets. (Some of the latest designs may just pop up at this year's Oscars.) We may not have any award shows to attend, but we can still dream about slipping on a stunning dress to walk down the aisle. Thankfully, the Spring 2025 Haute Couture wedding looks make imagining nuptials easy.
Every haute couture season, designers send down the runway actual wedding dresses. Frequently at the end of the presentation, often accented with floor-sweeping veils. Although they're not the only dresses that can serve as wedding gowns. In fact, several fashion houses feature several options in their most recent collections. Take Jean Paul Gaultier. This season's offering, which is crafted by guest designer Ludovic de Saint Sernin, supplied a trio of stellar silhouettes, including a lacy and ruffled number, a high-low gown with a built-in corset and an off-the-shoulder feathered gown with super structured skirt that Carrie Bradshaw may have willingly swapped her iconic Vivienne Westwood wedding dress for.
Schiaparelli always makes this list in spectacular fashion. Daniel Roseberry's Icarus collection gifts us four golden options. Because nowadays the rule that brides wear white is more like a guideline. We're not sure which one is our favorite. The exaggerated peplum silhouette showcases a waterfall of tulle below. Then there's the strapless creation with folds in all the right places. A second layer is definitely required for the feathered off-the-shoulder gown with ruffled hem, especially if the I dos are being exchanged during a church ceremony. Last but surely not least is a strapless dress with an asymmetric and heavily textured skirt.
Georges Hobeika is another brand with many amazing choices. From a blush-colored embellished piece with a tulle coverup to a flashy semi-sheer creation to a golden embroidered strapless gown to a mostly sheer dress complete with cape and veil and even a stark white take with a sculpted neckline and single sleeve. It's the label's embroidered and embellished skirt suit that we keep coming back to, though. Between the Peter Pan collar and the short, sheer, lace gloves we can totally see ourselves wearing the pairing for the actual ceremony or just the reception.
