It’s that time of year where social feeds are inundated with people’s peculiar listening habits. That’s right, Spotify’s hotly-anticipated music round-up has finally arrived – but some disappointed users are having a hard time loading up their 2021 year-in-review.
Spotify Wrapped rolled out on Wednesday at around 2pm UK time. While most fans of the streaming app have already boastfully shared their “Audio Auras” with the world, others have furiously turned to Twitter demanding answers.
“Spotify wrapped is f**king garbage im leaving,” one said.
Another proclaimed: “HOW DO U GET SPOTIFY WRAPPED WHY IS MINE NOT WORKING.”

While it’s unclear why Spotify Wrapped isn’t yet showing for some, it’s likely to be down to the gradual rollout to their 381 million monthly users.
Others, however, claim to have found the answer. You can go to Spotify.com/wrapped and click “Start” to view the overall round-up on a desktop. If you want to see your personal Spotify Wrapped, you’ll need to go on the app.
Spotify’s year-in-review feature kickstarted in 2015 as Your Year in Music and was later rebranded Wrapped in 2017.
The streaming app unveiled the biggest songs, artists and albums of 2021, with Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny securing the top spot for the most-streamed global artist with more than 9.1 billion streams.
Spotify’s top five streamed songs of the year are:
- Drivers License - Olivia Rodrigo
- MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name) - by Lil Nas X
- Stay - The Kid LAROI with Justin Bieber
- good 4 u - Olivia Rodrigo
- Levitating - Dua Lipa feat. DaBaby
Olivia Rodrigo also takes the top spot for the most-streamed album with SOUR, shortly followed by Dua Lipa - Future Nostalgia; Justin Bieber - Justice; Ed Sheeran - = and Planet Her by Doja Cat.
