Today is the day that music fans around the world have been waiting for - with Spotify Wrapped officially launching for its sixth consecutive year.
What initially began as a viral marketing ploy in 2016 has became an annual staple for users of the music streaming Goliath, with millions worldwide eagerly awaiting the announcement each winter.
And while many of you will no doubt be eager to use the feature in 2022, it can be a little tricky to navigate - so here we break down Spotify Wrapped 2022 for you, as well as how to find the data for your listening habits this year.

What is Spotify Wrapped?
Spotify Wrapped comes round once a year and is a feature only available on the streaming service. That means it's bad news for Apple Music, Tidal and YouTube Music fans who will unfortunately not be able to access it.
The feature allows you to study your listening data over the course of the year, highlighting exactly how many minutes of music you have consumed on the app, as well as your most listened to artists, albums and songs.
And while you may believe that you already know what you've been hammering this year auditorily, you might be in for a big surprise. For example, ChronicleLive journalist Aaron Morris is a self-professed lover of Catfish and the Bottlemen, but one of his most played songs was Justin Timberlake's Mirrors.
So, so unpredictable.
How do I use the feature?
You can check your Spotify Wrapped, here . It will include statistics such as your 'Top Songs' for 2022 as well as your favourite artists under the 'Your Artists Revealed' heading. Those who already have Spotify on their mobile devices should also see the Spotify Wrapped option upon opening the app.
Can I share my results?
Of course! People have been sharing their Spotify Wrapped results since the feature landed in 2016, with no sign of slowing down.
If you want to share any of your Wrapped statements with friends and family, you simply click the 'share' button at the bottom of the page. This will allow you to send your results to the likes of Snapchat, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
Do I have to be a paying user?
While you get more freedom while using a paid-for version of the music streaming service, you don't necessarily have to have a premium package to use Spotify Wrapped. It's a feature that all Spotify users can hack into, no matter if listening on a budget or luxuriously lashing out on a pay-to-play subscription.
