The podcaster Joe Rogan has said he will "try harder to get people with differing opinions on" his show after he became the subject of a row around antivax material on Spotify.
Last week the music legend Neil Young threatened to remove his catalogue from the music streaming platform if it did not remove Rogan's podcast, the Joe Rogan Experience, which is the most popular on the platform and which cost Spotify $100m for exclusivity. When Spotify did not remove the podcast, Young followed through on his threat and removed his music from the service.
Fellow stalwart Joni Mitchell then joined her longtime friend Young by saying she wanted her music off Spotify.

In response, Spotify has said it will introduce a coronavirus data hub so its users can be aware of the full facts.
Rogan has now released a response to the row, saying he will get on a wider range of guests. He also said: " [I will] do my best to make sure I've researched these topics".
However, he defended his show and its guests, saying he also gets on more mainstream voices.
Among other controversies, Rogan has said young people do not need to be vaccinated against coronavirus and promoted the use of ivermectin, an antiparasitic drug that has not been proven to help fight coronavirus. He has also said he is "not an antivax person" and says he believes vaccines are "safe".
