Spotify appeared to go offline for many of its users on Tuesday night.
People who use the streaming service reported being logged out of their accounts, and not being able to access their music or podcasts.
The incident occurred shortly after 6pm, at which time many users were greeted with a message stating: "Something went wrong. Please try again later or try using your email instead."

According to Down Detector, over 70,000 people reported being unable to access the service within the first hour.
Digital messaging service Discord is also offline, with thousands of its users being unable to access it.
The reason for the outage has not been revealed, however Spotify has acknowledged the glitch.
Taking to Twitter, the company wrote: "Something’s not quite right, and we’re looking into it. Thanks for your reports".
The tweet received more than 40,000 likes in less than an hour after posting, indicating that the problem is likely very widespread.

People who use the app were also quick to share their thoughts on the social media site.
One wrote: "Of course Spotify goes down just as I get on the train from Edinburgh to Glasgow".
A second tweeted: "What's up with Spotify here in Scotland? It keeps logging out of the app on my family account every time...very annoying".
"Spotify not working is a global crisis," another frustrated music fan said.
A fourth shared: "Spotify not working has made me realise I can't function without music i have a serious problem".
A fifth stated: "Is anyone else Spotify not working? Logged me out and saying my account doesn't exist. Scared and afraid".
