A brand new sports bar is preparing to open in the centre of Glasgow in the former home of Tiger Tiger nightclub.
Sportsterz, which has been operating a venue in Dundee since 2019, is set to open its first Glasgow branch in the Merchant City.
The food and drink spot, at 20 Glassford Street, will welcome in its first customers a week on Friday, June 18, the day of the Scotland verus England Euro 2020 match.
Work has been ongoing at the space over the past few months and it will boast over 20 large screens showing all sporting events, six American pool tables, a private pool both, shuffleboards, electronic darts, a VIP games room and an extensive food and drinks menu. The bar has capacity for over 400 people.
The team behind Sportsterz announced on Facebook on Tuesday: "We are pleased to announce that Sportsterz Merchant City will be opening Friday 18th June (old Tiger Tiger) just in time to catch the Euros action!
"Please note that the Scotland v England game is now fully booked...
"We do still have limited availability for Scotland V Croatia to reserve your table with us for this game or any of the Euros give us a message now with your party size, date and time of your requested booking."
After closing a number of years ago, Tiger Tiger was replaced by another nightclub, Mansion House, which shut down in January 2016.
