The sporting calendar is heavily reduced this weekend as the country mourns the death of Queen Elizabeth II with matches postponed across the country.
The Football Association, who the Queen was a long-standing patron of, has made the move to postpone football fixtures at all levels and ages until Monday. Horse racing was a big love of the Queen and has suspended meetings until Sunday while boxing have cancelled contests across the weekend.
However, rugby fixtures are continuing this weekend, including the Gallagher Premiership, while England's cricket Test match against South Africa and golf's BMW PGA Championship event at Wentworth will both continue from tomorrow.
So following the decisions across the board, Mirror Sport has compiled a full list of this weekend's sport below...
Football
As a mark of respect to the Queen, the FA have announced that all football matches from the Premier League to grass roots children's is to be postponed for both men and women from today (Friday) re-starting on Monday (September 12).
A statement from the FA said: "Her Majesty the Queen was a long-standing patron of the Football Association and has left a lasting and indelible impact on our national game.
"As a mark of respect, following the passing of Her Majesty the Queen, English football has united to postpone all football fixtures between September 9-11.
The decision mean that this weekend's full list of Premier League fixtures will be postponed - including on Monday night when Leeds host Nottingham Forest.
The Welsh FA have also postponed all matches in line with the English FA, while the Scottish FA has announced that all professional matches are off too.
Cricket
The second day of England's third Test against South Africa has been postponed after the Queen's death with play getting back underway on Saturday. The series which is tied at 1-1 after the first two Tests was due to get under way yesterday. The first day was impacted by the rain after England won the toss and elected to bowl.
The first day was washed out and today's play 'will not take place', as well as scheduled matches in the women's domestic cricket competition the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy.
A report in the Daily Mail said that the ECB and Surrey are not insured for the cancellation of the Test match due to the monarch's death and faced losing £4million
Golf
Some of the world's top golfers are currently gathered at Wentworth in Surrey for the BMW PGA Championship. The opening round of the DP World Tour event took place yesterday with the tournament due to finish on Sunday.
The event has seen players from the PGA Tour and 17 LIV Golf rebels gather to compete for a prize purse worth £7million, the winner receiving £1.1m. But play was suspended on Thursday after the news of the Queen's death was announced.
Play was suspended today but will resume on Saturday, and golfers will compete for top spot over 54 holes instead of 72.
A statement from the DP World Tour read: "The decision to restart on Saturday has been taken in accordance with Official National Mourning guidance and in consultation with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).
"The Wentworth event will give players, caddies, staff, volunteers and spectators the opportunity to come together across the weekend, not only to express their condolences but also to celebrate the extraordinary life of Her Majesty."
Rugby union
Rugby matches in England will go ahead tomorrow (Saturday) with players and coaches urged to wear black armbands in to pay respect to the Queen and a minute of silence held before matches.
Tonight's Premiership fixture between Bristol Bears and Bath Rugby has been postponed 24 hours and will kick-off at 5.30pm on Saturday. Meanwhile, Sale Sharks v Northampton Saints is also off tonight.
The Premiership match between Northampton Saints and Saracens was postponed last night (Thursday).
"Following consultation with the RFU, DCMS and the PRL Board, Premiership Rugby can confirm that as a mark of respect, the two Gallagher Premiership matches scheduled for today will be postponed," said Premiership Rugby in a statement.
"The other matches scheduled for Saturday and Sunday will go ahead as scheduled, with Premiership clubs joining with supporters in recognising Queen Elizabeth's life and service."
Rugby league
Tonight's Super League Eliminator match between Catalans and Leeds will go ahead as planned tonight and so will tomorrow's match between Huddersfield Giants and Salford Red Devils.
A Super League statement said: "Due respect will be paid to Her Majesty before both Eliminator fixtures, with a period of silence and where possible the playing of the National Anthem - while players and match officials will be asked to wear black armbands."
F1
The Italian Grand Prix at Monza went ahead today as planed with drivers and officials paying their respects to the Queen before today's practice session which saw Charles Leclerc post the fastest time.
Qualifying and Sunday's is set to take place as normal too.
Horse racing
The Queen had a close relationship and fondness to horse racing and British Racing remains in mourning today and Saturday with the suspension of all fixtures.
Racing returns on Sunday (September 11) across all courses except Musselburgh due to the Queen’s body lying in state in Edinburgh.
An additional day of racing is scheduled at Doncaster on Sunday 11, to ensure 'that the Cazoo St Leger and other important races lost as result of the cancellations can take place'.
The British Horse Racing Authority said: "We would highlight that this decision has been made to reflect Her Majesty the Queen’s special relationship with racing, and that other sports will, in line with national mourning guidance, make their own decisions as they see appropriate.
Boxing
All boxing tournaments and bouts have been postponed this weekend as a mark of respect to the Queen.
This includes the hugely anticipated fight between Savannah Marshall and Claressa Shields in an all-female card which will now take place provisionally on October 15 at the O2 in London.
A statement from the British Boxing Board of Control said: "The British Boxing Board of Control have decided that all tournaments this weekend will be postponed as a mark of respect to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth.
"We join a nation in mourning and pay tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, honouring her dedication to our country during her long reign and the legacy she leaves behind.’
Other sports
The Great North Run which could raise up to £25million for charities will take on Sunday.
However, its sister event The Great North 5k which was due to take place today will not go ahead as planned.
The Junior and Mini Great North Runs have also been postponed.
Other running events have been postponed, including Richmond RUN-FEST, due to its route passing through two sections owned in part by the Historic Royal Palaces.
The Tour of Britain cycling race has been abandoned after five days of racing. Stages in Gloucestershire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight were due to take place over the next three days, but have all been cancelled.
Domestic ice hockey action will begin as planed with league opening matches in the Premier Sports Elite League taking place. The league starts tonight with the Glasgow Clan playing Fife Flyers.
