STEPHEN Flynn has poked fun at a former Tory MP after the SNP MP was named “Inquisitor of the Year” at the Spectator Awards.
The SNP’s Westminster leader took to Twitter/X on Monday evening to share he had won the award, and had a wee joke at Michael Gove’s expense as well.
He shared an image of him holding the award with Gove along with the caption: “Named ‘Inquisitor of the Year’ at the Spectator Awards a few weeks back.
“Thanks to the Tories and Labour for all the helpful material. And to Michael Gove for his visible joy.
“In 2025 we’ll keep at it – fighting for an independent Scotland and getting stuck into UK Labour.”
It’s safe to say Gove might have been happy with another winner based on how much he’s smiling in the picture.
“Gove looks pleased,” commented one social media user while another said his post was “absolutely splendid”.
A fourth added: “Gove is not happy.”
If there’s one thing the former Tory Cabinet minister can at least take comfort from, it’s that he no longer has to face Flynn in the Commons after choosing not to stand for re-election.
