Spirit Airline employee PUNCHES female customer at airport after she touches his face

An airline employee has been suspended after a punching a female customer at an airport.

Shocking footage shows the moment a Spirit Airline employee punches a woman during an argument.

A bystander captures the distressing incident which shows the airline employee and female customer arguing and shouting at each other.

The female customer can be seen squaring up to the man as she touches his face.

Overheard by witnesses the Spirit Airline employee is caught saying: “You have lost your mind, don’t touch me ever in your life.”

The woman tries to walk away when another person tries to break up the altercation.

But as the pair continue to argue the woman then slaps the airline employee across the head.

The man tries to track her down but both end up falling to the ground as they eventually get back up on their feet.

However, the airline employee then hits the female customer from behind as onlookers can be seen trying to stop the fracas and calm the airline worker down.

The incident in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, was caught by onlooker Thomas Shannon who told Fox4news : “I am at the Panda Express, and we hear yelling, and I drop my food. And my instinct is to pull out the camera and start recording.”

Spirit Airline has been made aware of the footage and has since suspended the employee.

The airline said in a statement: "Our vendor at DFW has suspended the agent. Spirit Airlines does not tolerate violence of any kind, and we are working with local law enforcement to investigate this matter."

Strangely, airport security staff were not present during the altercation and the airport has begun an investigation into why this was.

The Dallas and Fort Worth International Airport said in a statement on Friday that the argument was thought to have started over seating arrangements.

According to reports, the airline customer became angry when she was about to board the plane and got off after claiming there was no seat for her.

Witnesses believe the woman became irate when she was told to queue up to speak with an employee - but she refused and cut through the queue.

The woman was unhappy when the Spirit Airline employee attempted to take her boarding pass from her, according to police.

Thomas Shannon, who captured the footage, said: "She was verbally assaulting him, physically assaulting him, and he just snapped."
