It’s increasingly looking as though Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will launch on PS5 sometime this fall – at least, that’s what actor Yuri Lowenthal believes.
Lowenthal, best known for his role as Spider-Man and Peter Parker in the PS4 game, recently told Comic Book Movie that he believes the sequel will be out at some point in 2023.
“I’ve still got a little bit to do. It’s a massive game so I’m still doing a little bit of work,” Lowenthal said. “I know they’re confident about their release date and Insomniac has always been good about that. Obviously, I can’t really talk about the game much, but I will tell you that it’s astonishing.”
This lines up with what developer Insomniac Games teased about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 releasing this year. Specifics are, naturally, still up in the air – though that’s pretty common with massive titles. Lowenthal sounds quite jazzed about what’s coming, that’s for sure.
“I’m so excited for you to play it. They know they’ve got big shoes to fill from the last two games and they’ve done it [Laughs],” Lowenthal continues. “I just can’t wait for people to play it.”
It also sounds like Lowenthal’s take on the character will be in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, which releases on June 2, 2022.
