England's women's football team made history on Sunday night with a 2-1 win over Germany in the Euro 2022 final. The Lionesses not only won the first ever major women's championship but it was also the country’s first international success since the men’s team won the World Cup back in 1966.
During extra time with 10 minutes to go, Manchester City's Chloe Kelly's scored the winning goal in front of a record-breaking crowd of ore than 87,000 at Wembley Stadium. The Manchester City forward raced away in celebration, taking her shirt off, before the entire team enjoyed their historic moment once the full-time whistle went.
Since their record-breaking win, fans, sporting stars and celebrities from all across the country have flooded the Lionesses with support after what was an emotional win for England.

Amongst the stars there to support the women's squad were Mel C and Geri Horner, formerly Halliwell, who sparked a mini Spice Girls reunion. Sporty Spice and Ginger Spice sported their England shirts whilst cheering on the women from the stands at Wembley on Sunday.
Ahead of the all-important match, Mel C took to the Spice Girls Instagram to share a message to the team: "I'm blown away with how incredible you have all been not only on the pitch but off the pitch.
"You are inspiring the nation and I am so so proud, we all our. Good luck for the big day but you are winners already."
After the girl's win messages of support flooded in for the team with each of the Spice Girls full of praise.
From its main account @spicegirls tweeted: " Congratulations @Lionesses. True #GirlPower right there."
Mel C then took to her personal Instagram to write the heartfelt message: "@lionesses Heroes, one and all!! How incredible to watch a group of young women come together, have each others backs, change peoples perceptions and touch the hearts of the whole country.
"You have inspired a generation of young women to lace up their boots and take on the boys! What a joy to watch this iconic moment with my fellow Spice Girl @therealgerihalliwell , We’re beyond proud."
Victoria Beckham also sent her support to the team by sharing a picture of their winning moment on her Instagram story alongside the caption: "Congratulations to the Lionesses. What an inspiration."
David Beckham recently gushed over his wife as she channelled Posh Spice in rare karaoke performance. The former girl group member was filmed by her husband whilst performing a karaoke rendition of the single Stop during a holiday in St Tropez.
The singer turned fashion designer belted out the lyrics whilst busting out some of the song's signature dance moves. Victoria appeared to be enjoying her rare performance despite her last show with the Spice Girls being a decade ago at the Olympics closing ceremony in 2012.
Fans are now hoping that Posh Spice's impromptu performance will mean that she'll re-join the band on the stage at Glastonbury next year.
This comes after bandmate Mel C said s he has “a good feeling” the group will reunite as a five-piece to play the festival, which she says would be an “absolute dream”, reports The Mirror.
