LAS VEGAS — On July 29th, live on Showtime PPV, the highly anticipated showdown between Errol Spence Jr. (28-0 with 22 knockouts) and Terence Crawford (39-0 with 30 knockouts) will take centerstage at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The bout has been brewing for years and will finally be served up to the boxing public during one of the hottest summers in history. This fight has the makings of adding to the heat, as stylistically, these two are made to put on an absolute war. With a combined record of 67-0, someone’s 0 must indeed go.
The Mayweather family is royalty in the boxing world. World-class trainer, Jeff Mayweather chimes in on the much-anticipated bout between Spence and Crawford. While sharing insight to both fighters strengths, Mayweather talks about the impact of each trainer, explains why the fans are the true winners and much more.
In an interview with Zenger News, Mayweather said that he is impressed by both fighters’ strengths. “Spence is a power puncher who likes to walk you down and throw brutal body shots,” Mayweather said. “Crawford is a more versatile fighter who can fight southpaw or orthodox and has a lot of different ways to beat you.”
Mayweather also believes that the trainers for both fighters will play a major role in the outcome of the fight. “Derrick James and Brian ‘BoMac’ McIntyre are both excellent trainers,” Mayweather said. “They will be able to make adjustments during the fight and help their fighters execute their game plans.”
Mayweather is excited for the fight and believes that it will be one of the best of the year. “This is a fight that people will be talking about for years to come,” Mayweather said. “It’s a matchup of two of the best fighters in the world and I can’t wait to see who comes out on top.”
When asked who he thinks will win the fight, Mayweather said that he is not making any predictions. “It’s too close to call,” Mayweather said. “Both fighters have a chance to win and it’s going to be an exciting fight.”
