A number of Tottenham loan players made their case over the past week with strong performances for their respective clubs. Djed Spence had an impact during Rennes' defeat against Marseille, with Destiny Udogie and Tanguy Ndombele also taking their opportunity in Italy.
In Spain, there was more frustration for Sergio Reguilon but plenty of joy for Giovani Lo Celso as he returned to action after a lengthy period on the sidelines.
So how exactly did all 11 Spurs players do over the course of the past seven days? football.london takes a look below.

Djed Spence and Joe Rodon (Rennes)
Rennes were unable to back up their 1-0 win over Nantes after falling to a 1-0 home defeat against high-flying Marseille on Sunday evening. Spence, once again, got the nod at right-back in Bruno Genesio's side but Rodon was an unused substitute for the fifth game on the trot.
In GFFN's player ratings for the game, Spence was handed a score of 6/10 for his performance, with the Spurs loanee notably coming in for praise for frustrating and nullifying former Arsenal man Matteo Guendouzi, who was duly given a score of 3/10. They wrote: "The Tottenham loanee was a willing outlet going forward and kept Guendouzi as well as Clauss mostly quiet. A promising outing."
Spence did have an impact going forward after recording three successful dribbles from his four attempts, three passes into the final third, one accurate cross and a 91 per cent pass success rate. At the other end of the pitch, he contributed with nine recoveries, two clearances, one tackle and five successful ground duels from a possible eight.
Rennes' European exit means they have a free midweek to prepare for Saturday's trip to Auxerre. The French club sit fifth in Ligue 1 and five points off third after 26 games of the campaign.
Bryan Gil (Sevilla)
It was a weekend to forget for Gil and Sevilla as they were thumped 6-1 away at Atletico Madrid. Trailing 2-1 at the break, Atleti scored four second-half goals to run out comfortable winners. Having featured regularly for Sevilla since his return to the club on loan from Tottenham, the winger was only given the final 12 minutes of the contest.
Not able to have an impact on proceedings with his team 5-1 down, Gil did come face-to-face with former Spurs teammate Matt Doherty, who was making his debut for the hosts. Sevilla will have the opportunity to bounce back right away with Fenerbahce to come in the Europa League on Thursday and then a home match against Almeria on Sunday afternoon.
Destiny Udogie (Udinese)
Udinese shared the points again on Saturday following a 0-0 draw away at Atalanta. A good point for the team with the Bergamo-based outfit fighting it out for a European place, Udinese are in ninth following their 25th game of the season.
Udogie played the full 90 minutes for his team and was the player of the match according to Fotmob as they gave him a rating of 8.2. Successful with all five of his dribbles and making four passes into the final third, he won 12 of his 14 ground duels, won four from five tackles and made nine recoveries, five clearances and one interception.
An away game at Empoli on Saturday afternoon is next on the agenda for Udinese.
Harry Winks (Sampdoria)
Sampdoria passed up the chance to move off the bottom of the Serie A table at the weekend following a 0-0 draw with lowly Salernitana. It was a missed opportunity for Winks and Co and it has left them nine points adrift of safety with 13 games remaining.
Winks, once again, played the full match and showcased his quality on the ball by registering an 85 per cent pass success rate, which included four successful long balls from the five he attempted. It certainly doesn't get any easier for Sampdoria with an away trip to Juventus up next.
Tanguy Ndombele (Napoli)
Ndombele's lack of minutes continued on Friday evening as Napoli fell to a shock 1-0 home defeat against Lazio. The Frenchman was only on the field for eight minutes but he did seem to have an impact on proceedings as he won all four of his ground duels, played three passes into the final third, was successful with his two attempted dribbles and accurate with 13 of his 16 passes.
Ndombele will be hoping it leads to some increased playing time when they host Atalanta on Saturday evening.
Sergio Reguilon (Atletico Madrid)
Reguilon had to watch on from the stands as Atleti hit Sevilla for six at the weekend. Following a recent thigh issue in training, the left-back was not included in Diego Simeone's squad for Saturday's victory over Los Nervionenses.
There was a bit of positive news regarding the player the following day as he was spotted back out on the training pitch. As fellow left-back Reinildo Mandava is out for some time after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, Reguilon needs to return to fitness as soon as possible if he finally wants to get an extended run in the side.
Girona are next up for Atletico next Monday evening.
Giovani Lo Celso (Villarreal)
Amid Reguilon's injury struggles at Atleti, Saturday afternoon finally saw Lo Celso make his comeback after the injury that stopped him participating in Argentina's successful World Cup campaign. The player was only introduced for the final minute of the match but it was still enough time to see him given a yellow card.
"The recovery of important players like [Alfonso] Pedraza, Gerard [Moreno] or Lo Celso generates an enormous stimulus in the squad because now we can decide who plays and there is a high level of competitiveness. I'm sure it will help us a lot," said head coach Quique Setien after the victory against Almeria.
Taking to Instagram after his return, Lo Celso penned: "Uff how long did I wait for this moment. Very happy to be back doing what I love most after a long time without playing football.
"Thank you very much to those who accompanied me during this time in recovery: my family, my friends, the medical body of @villarrealcf, the medical body of @afaseleccion and you @_igornicolas_. The best is yet to come, always."
Lo Celso will have the opportunity to increase his playing time this week with Anderlecht coming up in the Europa Conference League before Villarreal host his former club Real Betis on Sunday afternoon.
Troy Parrott (Preston North End)
Coming off the bench for last Tuesday's 0-0 draw with play-off hopefuls Coventry City, Parrott was brought into the Preston starting XI for Saturday's game at Watford. Once again Preston drew a blank and it finished 0-0 between the two.
The Republic of Ireland international was given a score of 7/10 by Lancashire Live for his display in his 69 minutes on the pitch. They wrote: "Used the ball well and looked after it when played into his feet. Frustration for him in the first half, with the number 15 making smart runs off the ball but rarely being picked out. Was wiped out by Porteous in the second half and left baffled at the referee's decision not to award a free-kick."
Preston host Cardiff City on Saturday afternoon at Deepdale.
Harvey White (Derby)
Following a 4-1 drubbing at Barnsley last weekend, Derby have taken four points from a possible six after beating Cheltenham Town 2-0 in midweek and then drawing 2-2 with Shrewsbury Town four days later. White did get minutes in both, playing 71 minutes against the Robins and then coming off the bench for the final 13 minutes against the Shropshire-based club.
White did score 6/10 in Derbyshire Live's player ratings following the win over Cheltenham. They wrote: "Was more of a facilitator than a creator in the middle of the park. Battled away in the heart of midfield and produced one excellent tackle in the second half."
The games keep coming thick and fast for the Rams, with an away trip to promotion contenders Plymouth Argyle on Tuesday night before they host Oxford United at the weekend.
Dane Scarlett (Portsmouth)
Portsmouth are bang in form at present with three successive wins to keep their League One play-off aspirations alive. Beating Bolton Wanderers and Cambridge United in their last two, Scarlett was a sub in the first before starting against The U's and playing 78 minutes.
He will be hoping he has done enough to keep his place in the team with South Yorkshire sides Barnsley and Sheffield Wednesday coming up this week.
