Tragedy struck at Acrisure Stadium after the Pittsburgh Steelers game when a spectator fell from the escalator and later died from his injuries.
Buy Steelers TicketsAccording to reports, a male spectator fell from the escalator shortly after the Steelers loss to the New York Jets. Paramedics arrived on the scene and attempted lifesaving care. The spectator was transported to a local hospital in critical condition but later died from the injuries.
“We are aware of an unfortunate incident that occurred inside Acrisure Stadium today,” the Steelers said in a statement. “We are working with local authorities and helping their investigation into the matter. We are sending our thoughts and prayers to the guest’s family.”
