Special Winter in Dublin Express service leading up to Christmas from Irish Rail

Irish Rail are offering a very special service leading up to Christmas to celebrate the launch of Winter in Dublin.

The Winter in Dublin Express is running from now until December 10 and will see a carriage on six services being transformed into a "Winter Wonderland". Specially selected passengers will enjoy a very festive VIP trip to Dublin with live entertainment, Christmas treats and a specially decorated carriage.

The lovely service was launched last week in partnership with Failte Ireland, and some lucky passengers were treated to Christmas songs by the Olympia Panto ‘Olly, Polly and the Beanstalk’ as they arrived in Heuston Station.

Emma Woods from Failte Ireland explained. "This partnership with Iarnród Éireann showcases, not only a great and sustainable way to travel to Dublin at any time this winter, but also the variety of events and the magic that will be alive this Winter in Dublin."

Passengers on board the six special services have been selected as lucky prize winners from various Winter in Dublin promotions. For more details on the full programme of events taking place throughout Winter in Dublin, check out VisitDublin.com.
