Spate of antisocial behaviour in Bristol city park leads to mounted police patrols

A spate of incidents of yobs causing anti-social behaviour at an inncer city park has led to patrols by police on horseback. Mounted units from Avon and Somerset Police were seen in St George’s Park on Monday after “a small number of reports of offences in the area involving young people”.

“Three children who were witnessed acting antisocially” were among a number of people who officers talked to. A police spokesman added that the youths were then taken home, where police “spoke with them and their parents about their behaviour”.

He added: “Patrols will continue to be carried out over the coming weeks as we look to deter anti-social behaviour in the area and provide reassurance to the community.”
