A transfer portal target of the Spartans has elected to play for NFL coaching legend Bill Belichick instead of Michigan State.
South Carolina transfer tight end Connor Cox reportedly committed to North Carolina on Wednesday. Cox is the third transfer commit for Belichick, who took over as the new Tar Heels head coach last week.

Cox was someone Michigan State had targetted since the portal opened last week. He took a visit to Michigan State his past weekend and would have been a nice depth addition for the Spartans.
