Michigan State football has extended an offer to an in-state running back that is teammates with a number of the Spartans’ other commitments.
Orchard Lake St. Mary’s running back Darrin Jones Jr. announced on Friday that he’s received an offer from the Spartans. He made the recruiting update known via social media platform X.
Jones is in the 2025 class and played his high school ball with Michigan State commitments linebacker Charles White and tight end Jayden Savoury.
Jones is listed at 6-foot-0 and 200 pounds, according to Prep Redzone. It’s unknown if this offer from the Spartans is a scholarship or preferred walk-on spot.
