Michigan State basketball is arguably the hottest team in the Big Ten right now so it’s no surprise they were near the top of Andy Katz’s updated conference power rankings.
Katz released a new batch of Big Ten power rankings on Tuesday, which had the Spartans near the top of the league. Katz has Michigan State listed at No. 2 in his power rankings — only behind No. 1 Illinois.
Michigan State has won seven straight games and is currently 12-2 overall. The Spartans are also a perfect 3-0 in Big Ten play.
The Spartans next take the court on Thursday in a home matchup against Washington — who is listed as No. 17 in Katz’s power rankings. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
