One of the Spartans cornerbacks is considered one of the best in coverage in the country.
Pro Football Focus (PFF) released a list of their top four cornerbacks in power four conferences in the lowest passer rating allowed. Michigan State cornerback Charles Brantley cracked that list with the third-lowest total in the country.
Here’s the rankings from PFF:
- Iowa State’s Darien Porter at 0.4
- LSU’s Zy Alexander at 2.8
- Michigan State’s Charles Brantley at 12.6
- Iowa’s Jermari Harris at 14.7

Michigan State will need another strong performance from Brantley this week in a big-time rivalry matchup against Michigan. Kickoff between the Spartans and Wolverines is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. The game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
