Sparkling Wilfried Zaha can keep the Eagles flying in grudge match vs Brighton

Though it is not actually a derby, this game does tend to generate an extra edge, due to two sets of fans who harbour quite a grudge with each other.

The reverse fixture at the Amex Stadium in December emphatically proved the point, as 10-man Brighton confounded the odds to end up winning 3-1.

This time around, though, Crystal Palace look in much better shape, thanks mainly to the sparkling form of Wilfried Zaha.

He led the charge brilliantly at Burnley last weekend with some wonderful footwork.

It’s no surprise at all to hear transfer rumours linking the Londoner with some huge clubs, because when he’s at it, there are not many about like Zaha.

Blessed with great strength to complement intricate skills, he’s capable of embarrassing the very best defenders.

Yet a lack of consistency has held him back so far. Now, at the age of 26, it’s time to add the final piece of the puzzle.
