SPAR are recalling a popular spread due to undeclared nuts with the latest recall of of their own.
As a precaution, the store is now asking people not to consume the product and instead they are advising people to return it to the store.
The reason for the recall is due to almonds which have not been mentioned on the label and thus posing a "possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to almonds."

Taking to the Food Standards Agency (FSA) website this week they said the retailer is now "recalling SPAR Spread Up Hazelnut Choco 400g because it contains almonds (nuts) which is not mentioned on the label.
"This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to almonds (nuts)."
The recall affects all batch codes of SPAR's Spread Up Hazelnut Choco weighing 400g.
People should be on the look out for end dates including June 2022, August 2022, September 2022, November 2022, December 2022.

As a result of the recall, SPAR have said people should contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.
The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers which explains to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.
