Raphael, whose full name is Miguel Rafael Martos, is one of Spain's most iconic singers. He rose to fame in the 1960s and is celebrated for his powerful voice and dramatic stage presence.

Raphael's family remained by his side throughout his hospital stay, frequently seen entering and exiting Madrid's Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre. He had been rushed there just 24 hours after experiencing health issues while filming TVE's program "La Revuelta."
