Spanish police are set to crackdown on bad behaviour in one popular city destination, as the summer months draw closer.
Palma Local Police’s summer security measures will begin next week to improve the safety of locals and tourists against anti-social behaviour. Measures will remain in place until October 15.
Excessive tourism is also a concern with a new campaign launched aimed at reminding shopkeepers in key areas of the current regulations of the Law on Excesses in relation to the sale of alcoholic beverages, which includes penalties of up to 600,000 Euros for the most serious cases.

Illegal massages, street vending, street drinking and pub crawls and noise pollution are some of the main problems being focused on. Penalties range from 100 euros for minor infractions to 3,000 Euros for serious ones, reports Birmingham Live.
It comes as other holidaymakers to Majorca and Ibiza face limits on how much they can drink due to a crackdown on drunken behaviour.
Many holidaymakers choose to book all-inclusive so they can day drink and continue their shenanigans into the night at party destinations. But now at hotels in some resorts tourists will be restricted to just six drinks a day, which can only be accessed alongside their lunch and dinner - offering them three drinks per meal.
The rule has been enforced in Magaluf, Majorca, and some areas of Ibiza, causing upset to holidaymakers who were expecting to drink by the pool.
