Holidaymakers across Glasgow and the rest of the UK travelling to Ibiza have been issued a warning following an outbreak of dengue fever.
Six people have been struck down by the bug, spread by mosquitos, on the Island, with the local Government stating that six German tourists became infected between May and November of last year.
And not there are fears of a second wave, with holiday season fast approaching. Ibiza is a hugely popular destination for partygoers and families alike, with summer seeing thousands travel from Glasgow to the Island for a sunny break.
However, those planning to make the trip are now being warned, reports Birmingham Live.

The Spanish Government has explained that there is a "moderate" risk of people getting the infection during summer.
Dengue fever is an potentially deadly infection spread by mosquitos. Symptoms usually begin four to 10 days after a person is bitten by an infected insect, according to the NHS.
What are the symptoms of dengue virus?
According to the NHS symptoms of dengue virus include:
- high temperature
- Severe headache
- blotchy rash made up of flat or slightly raised spots
- swollen glands
Some infected people may experience more severe symptoms after a few days. These include repeatedly being sick and bleeding gums and/or nose.
Spain's Ministry of Health said in a statement: "One of the potential vectors of dengue is the Aedes albopictus mosquito, present throughout the area, the Spanish Mediterranean and the Balearic Islands and also in some areas of the interior and north of the country.
"After learning about the cases, the authorities of the Balearic Islands have planned actions such as pertinent surveillance and vector control and also communication and information to the public, to be carried out before and during the start of the vector activity season."
