Spain is one of the countries to have successfully made it to the Eurovision grand final 2022, which will air this evening (May 14, 2022).
Spain has won Eurovision twice before. The first time was in 1968 with the song "La, la, la" by Massiel and again in 1969, with Salomé's "Vivo cantando".
According to Eurovisionworld, Spain is in the top five countries of favourites to win the contest this year, with it ranking at a 5% chance of winning, joint with Italy, out of the 25 countries that will be performing in the live final.

Who is Spain’s entry for Eurovision 2022?
Chanel Terrero Martinez is Spain’s entry for Eurovision 2022. She will be representing the country with her debut single, ‘SloMo’.
The 31-year-old singer and actor, was born in Havana, Cuba and she will perform her single ‘SloMo’ live at the Eurovision grand final from Italy's Pala Olimpico Arena in the city of Turin.
Chanel began her music career at the tender age of 16 and has shown that she is multitalented by performing in musicals such as Mamma Mia!, Flashdance, El guardaespaldas and El rey león.
Also a dancer, Terrero has worked with American singer Shakira. On top of this, she has gone on to be one of the finalists for the role of Anita in Steven Spielberg's musical adaptation of West Side Story.
‘SloMo’ made it to the Spanish Singles Chart at number thirteen earlier this year. The song is sung in part English and part Spanish.
Chanel's Eurovision performance has been choreographed by one of the most sought-after dance choreographers, Kyle Hanagami. Kyle has an accomplished record having worked with stars such as Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, and Justin Bieber.
