Holiday-makers hoping to jet to sunny Spain over the half-term will face the nation's tough Covid restrictions, which will remain in place until 15 November.
The restrictions, which were relaxed for EU members but still apply to UK passport holders and other countries outside the EU, require people to produce proof of full vaccination, recovery from Covid, a negative antigen test result taken in the 24 hours before departure, or a negative PCR test performed in the 72 hours before departure.
Before May this year, Spain had banned any unvaccinated arrivals, but these rules were relaxed for visitors from any nation. Spain then removed any restrictions on arrivals from EU nations, with many hoping this would be extended to UK passport holders.

As with all other countries, Spain has a 270 day expiration on on vaccine passports, with proof of a booster jab required if the second dose of the vaccine was was more than nine months ago. There is currently no expiration date for booster jabs.
Children under 12 do not proof of vaccination or undergo any tests. Those aged between aged 12 to 17 no longer have to be fully vaccinated and can get into Spain with a negative PCR test result taken within 72 hours before arrival, or an antigen tests taken at most 24 hours before departure.
Random health screening will remain in place at all Spanish airports and ports to ensure passengers comply with these rules. Elsewhere in Europe, only Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Slovakia maintain Covid entry restrictions.
Spain has reported a surge in arrivals this year with the country's resorts retaining popularity following pandemic travel restrictions. Tourism minister Reyes Maroto said tourists have been spending more and staying longer, with summer 2022 visitor numbers reaching 85 per cent of pre-pandemic levels.
