Spain have confirmed they will be extending covid entry requirements for Scottish travellers until November, impacting the October break.
While people travelling to Spain from other countries in Europe can enter without proof of covid status, the Spanish health authorities have said that those from third-countries still need to provide certain documents. This includes anyone with a British Passport.
Holidaymakers jetting off from the UK to Spain will have to provide covid-related documents until November 15, which could impact the October holidays.

Travellers from countries outside the EU or Schengen area must produce proof of either; full vaccination, recovery from covid, a negative antigen test result taken in the 24 hours before departure, or a negative PCR test performed in the 72 hours before departure.
It must also be noted that Spain has an expiration date of 270 days on vaccine passports with just two doses. UK tourists need proof of a booster jab if the second dose of the vaccine was was more than nine months ago, but there is currently no expiration date for booster jags.
The NHS Covid Pass as proof of vaccination will also be accepted in Spain, either digitally or in printed form. All travellers may be subject to additional checks at the point of entry.
Children under 12 do not require proof of vaccination or have to undergo any additional tests. This rule applies to the whole of Spain, including the Canary Islands and the Balearics.
