Covid entry requirements
All passengers heading into Spain from the UK must show evidence of their full vaccination status or recent Covid recovery for entry.
Unvaccinated travellers will not be allowed to enter the country for the reasons of tourism.
Fully vaccinated means both doses of a two dose vaccine or one dose of a one-dose vaccine - and they must have been taken at least 14 days prior to arrival in Spain.
The last dose must have been administered within 270 days prior to travel to Spain - for example, if you are heading to the country today, then your last vaccine dose must have been administered from August 19, 2021 onwards.
Scots who are unable to show evidence of fully vaccination will be able to show proof that they have recovered from Covid in the last six months.
Travellers can use a medical certificate or recovery record for this.
Anyone who meets the above requirements is not required to fill in a passenger locator form.
Children under 12 are not required to show proof of their vaccination status or take tests before flying to Spain.
Passports
The Foreign Office states that passports must have been issued less than 10 years before the date you enter Spain.
Your passport must also be valid for at least three months after the day you plan to leave the country.
