Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced that SpaceX workers are scheduled to visit the Air Traffic Control System Command Center on Monday. The visit aims to assess the current system, gather feedback from air traffic controllers, and brainstorm ideas for a new, improved air traffic control system.

In a statement, Duffy emphasized the importance of ensuring safe and efficient air travel for Americans. He mentioned President Trump's directive to develop a world-class air traffic control system that will set a global standard.

Duffy expressed his willingness to collaborate with American developers and businesses to achieve this goal. He called upon the brightest minds in the country to contribute their expertise to the project.

Elon Musk's SpaceX team's visit to the command center is part of this initiative to explore innovative solutions for enhancing air traffic control operations. Duffy clarified that such visits are not uncommon, as the Federal Aviation Administration routinely offers tours to media and companies.

Additionally, Duffy revealed his plans to visit the FAA Academy in Oklahoma later in the week. He intends to engage with air traffic controller instructors and students to gain insights into their training and education processes.

President Trump had appointed Elon Musk to lead the Department of Government Efficiency, focusing on identifying inefficiencies and improving government operations. Musk affirmed his commitment to enhancing air travel safety through SpaceX's involvement in the project.

The collaboration between SpaceX and the Department of Transportation underscores a bipartisan effort to modernize the aviation system. The initiative aims to leverage technological advancements and industry expertise to elevate the standards of air travel in the United States.

Notably, the announcement follows a recent social media exchange between Duffy and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton regarding aviation system upgrades.
