SP workers furious over Manish Jagan Agrawal arrest; Accuse State Govt of bias

Politics heats up over arrest of Manish Jagan Agrawal

Lucknow: National President of the SP Vyapar Sabha Manish Jagan Agrawal was arrested from his residence late night by Lucknow Police.  After the arrest of Manish Jagan Agrawal, the politics of UP has heated up. There is widespread anger among Samajwadi Party workers against the arrest of Manish Jagan. SP workers are accusing the UP Government of discrimination and biased action.

Samajwadi Party has also termed Manish Jagan's arrest and the allegations against him as false on the social media platform "X". SP has asked Lucknow Police to share the post in which Manish Jagan has allegedly made any objectionable comment.

SP tagged Lucknow Police and wrote on Twitter, "If Manish Jagan has posted any objectionable post, which creates unrest and violence, then Lucknow Police should share that post or else stop exploiting opposition leaders with baseless things."

SP has earlier accused Lucknow Police of forcibly picking up Manish Jagan. In a post on social media, SP wrote, "Lucknow Police has forcibly picked up Samajwadi Vyapar Sabha National President Manish Jagan Agrawal from his residence. Manish Jagan is a patient of high blood pressure and his wife is also pregnant. If Manish Jagan ji or his family is harmed, then Lucknow Police will be responsible for it."

Several leaders of Samajwadi Party are raising questions on Manish's arrest and are fiercely targeting the Government. SP leader Rajpal Kashyap said that the police did not tell why he was arrested. Kashyap alleged that this is hooliganism and dictatorship of the administration, and he also told that Manish's wife is pregnant and he himself is a patient of blood pressure.
