Southport Jazz Festival is returning with a new venue for 2023.
The three-day event will take place from Friday, February 3 until Sunday, February 5 in The Grand on Southport's Lord Street. The festival will form part of The Grand's centenary celebrations, following the building's £4 million transformation.
The festival is being organised for the first time by acclaimed local musicians, Jez Murphy and Emma Holcroft. Emma will also be among the performers, starring with the Swingtime Big Band on the opening night.

The event will include a variety of shows to suit people of all tastes, from jazz enthusiasts to novices. Saturday night will see trombonist Dennis Rollins MBE perform with the Wendy Kirkland Quartet.
Meanwhile, rising star Alex Clarke will present her new album at the festival on Saturday afternoon. Alex was a BBC Young Jazz Musician of the Year finalist in 2020.
There will be 10 performances in total across the three days, with the option for people to attend the show of their choice. Tickets are priced from £10 and can be purchased from the Southport Jazz Festival website.
Organisers Jez Murphy and Emma Holcroft said: "It's all change at festival central, a new team and a new venue. But don't worry, we will still have the same top class jazz music in stunning new surroundings.
"Now, more than ever, we need to keep music live. We hope you will all support this festival as you have done so often in the past. Let's have the best jazz house party possible."
