The kids may be back at school after the mammoth summer holiday stretch but that doesn't mean you can't get them involved in some weekend family fun.
If that's the case, look no further than the famous Southport Air Show which will see thousands of aviation fans head down to the sea front to catch a glimpse of all the aerial action.
A number of historical aircrafts, parachute displays, acrobatics and fireworks will make up the three-day event, including a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight with the RAF 100.
And don't miss the spectacular fireworks display from Sirotechnics – the British Musical Fireworks, Champions of Champions - who will close Friday's entertainment.
There will also be a lot more on offer for spectators as a dedicated Air Show Village will be in place providing plenty of family-friendly activities for everyone to get stuck in to.

Saturday is a much more promising picture with sunny intervals turning cloudy in the afternoon. Temperatures are expected to reach 17 degrees but it will probably feel a bit cooler than that.
Sunday is also set to be a clear day, quite similar to that of Saturday with cloudy spells and sunny intervals.
