Paige DeSorbo has revealed plans to freeze her eggs just weeks after splitting from Craig Conover.
The Summer House, 32, spoke candidly about her desire to become a mother and the steps she would be taking to try and make that dream a reality while appearing on the latest episode of her Giggly Squad podcast, featuring friend Hannah Berner.
The reality TV star acknowledged it was a “huge” decision to freeze her eggs, but said she “always knew” she was certain it was something she wanted to do.
“I have wanted to do it … I would probably say like last year - probably in the spring - I was like, ‘OK, in 2025 I’m freezing my eggs’”, she explained.
The Southern Charm favourite went on to share that she felt January was the right time to get things rolling due to a gap in her hectic work diary.
“I had like a list of things I wanted to get done in the month of January,” she said. “So that was like one of my goals and I made my first appointment.
While she has started the “difficult” process, DeSorbo has yet to lock in an actual date for the egg retrieval.
“The only thing is I have to pick two weeks that I’m gonna be home because I have to do the shots at the same time every night and I think they have to be in the refrigerator,' she explained.
For this reason, the “beginning of March” is looking most likely so it doesn’t interferre with her and Berner’s Giggly Squad tour.
She went on to discuss how her reason for going this route was so she had the “safety” of having a backup plan for the future, if and when she is ready to start a family.
Her break-up with Conover last month just gave her the final push to go through with it.
“When I first decided to freeze my eggs it wasn’t like, ‘Oh my god [it’s for] my career,’ like I genuinely thought at 32 I would have a kid,” she confessed.
“But always in the back of my head I was like, ‘What if I get to 39 or 40 and I’m like wait I want one more.’ So that was always my thought process on freezing my eggs.
“So now it’s different,” she continued. “I need it as like security I think but it is making me relax a little bit though knowing that I’m doing it.”
DeSorbo confirmed on her podcast at the end of last month that she and actor Conover had gone their separate ways having dated since 2021.
