RANGERS' transfer resolve over the future of Joe Aribo is set to be tested soon, according to a report.
It's been said that the Ibrox club will receive an offer for the attacking midfielder in the coming weeks.
The Daily Record reports that Southampton have emerged as frontrunners to sign the Nigerian star.
They say that the Premier League side are weighing up a move, with Aribo out of contract in 12-months' time.
Saints are believed to have been interested in Aribo for some time, with Crystal Palace, Fulham and Nottingham Forest all linked with the 25-year-old too.
The player could walk away from Ibrox for nothing next summer if he stays.
So if Southampton or any of their rivals were to make a bid in this window, Rangers will have a decision to make.
Ex-Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor is quoted in the piece stating he expects to see some firm interest in Aribo this summer.
He said: “There will be clubs interested in Joe Aribo. If there is a £10million release clause I’m sure that will be met because of what he showed in the (Europa League) final with his goal.
"Every time I watched him over the last couple of seasons he’s been a player that’s stood out for me. He’s very comfortable on the ball, always shows that work rate and can play a number of positions. He’s a top player who Rangers will not want to lose, definitely.”
