Southampton scheduled a friendly against their own B-team on Wednesday to prepare for Leeds United's visit to St Mary's on Saturday. The Whites travel to Southampton looking to build on their victory over Wolves.
Southampton sit rock-bottom of the table following the opening round of fixtures. They were convincingly beaten 4-1 at Tottenham, with boss Ralph Hasenhuttl stating that the mistakes his side made in the game were 'simply not good enough for this level.'
Stretching back to last season, the Saints have conceded 34 goals across 13 games - winning just one of them, and many are predicting them to struggle this term.

In order to prepare for the clash, Southampton scheduled a game against their own under-21s side - who only last played on Monday evening - in a behind-closed-door friendly.
“We’ve got a brilliant week, challenging week, we’re playing the first-team Wednesday to help them prepare for Leeds United and that’s another big shift,” Saints under-21s boss David Horseman said.
