Southampton boss issues stern response to Che Adams transfer rumours after Everton links

Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhüttl has issued a stern and simple response to transfer rumours linking Che Adams with a move away from the south coast club.

The striker has been the subject of numerous recent reports suggesting that Everton could be interested in his signature.

Some outlets have suggested that the Saints have a £25m price tag on the 26-year-old, who they brought to the club from Birmingham City for a reported £15m fee in July 2019.

However, Hasenhüttl has maintained that his forward is not for sale this summer - with four goals in all competitions already to his name in three matches in 2022/23. When asked in his latest press conference about the future of Adams, the manager was very clear with his answer.

The Saints boss remarked: "I can categorically say he is our player and will not be sold this summer."

Adams is one of a number of names being linked with a potential move to Goodison Park as the club continue to search for ways to bolster their forward options.

Richarlison's departure earlier in the summer, paired with continuing rumours over the future of Anthony Gordon, have many supporters desperate for new additions to be made over the closing stages of the transfer window.

So far Everton have scored three goals in all competitions in their four matches this term, with two coming from Demarai Gray and one going down as a Lucas Digne own goal against Aston Villa.
