Southampton and Nottingham Forest have both been credited with interest in signing midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White from Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer.
The Sun have reported that while the Old Gold have offered a new deal to the midfielder, Wolves have also set a price for any clubs interested in signing the former Sheffield United loanee this summer.
Gibbs-White, whose 12 Championship goals last season helped the Blades reached the play-off semi-finals, has been offered a new contract by Bruno Lage’s side, but Wolves may struggle to keep hold of him, with the Saints and Forest both said to be keen on signing the midfielder.
The report claims that Wolves boss Lage wants to keep the attack-minded midfielder at Molineux next season and make him a regular member of the first-team squad, but Gibbs-White has only a year left on his contract, meaning Wolves to either extend his deal, or cash in on him as soon as possible.
Prior to starring on loan under Paul Heckingbottom at Bramall Lane, Gibbs-White had a brief spell out on loan with Swansea City, which also came in the Championship. However, the midfielder played only five times, missing three months of action with a fractured foot before being recalled by parent club Wolves.
Forest are said to be keen on signing Gibbs-White following their promotion up to the Premier League, with Gibbs-White scoring against Forest during Steve Cooper’s side’s triumph in the play-off semi-finals. Southampton have also been linked with the 22-year-old, but any potential deal for him is said to cost clubs over £25m.

Gibbs-White first joined Wolves at the age of eight and has spent the past 14 years at Molineux. Gibbs-White has 86 Wolves appearances to his name but has scored just three times for them.
Of those 86, 46 of them have come in the Premier League and if reports are to be believed, he is set for an improved first-team role next season, should he stay and sign a contract extension.
Gibbs-White has only scored once in England’s top-flight, netting the winner in a 2-1 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion at Molineux in May 2021.
While Gibbs-White’s future remains up in the air, it is also unclear as to what club star midfielder Ruben Neves will be playing for next season. The Portuguese midfielder has been credited with interest from Manchester United, Arsenal, Newcastle United and Barcelona.
It is believed that it would cost £50m for Wolves to part company with Neves this summer, with reports suggesting that Barcelona would not be willing to pay a fee anywhere near that for Neves.
Speaking at the end of the season, Neves admitted that while it would be tough to leave Molineux, he is open to an exit if the right opportunity presented itself.
